Terms and Conditions

  1. The name of this award is “Lingnan University Outstanding Martial Art Athlete Award”.
  2. One student will be selected by the Donors to be the Lingnan University Outstanding Martial Art Athlete under this Award as every year.
  3. The prize of the award is HK$5,000.00.
  4. Applicants should have outstanding performance in martial art sports.
  5. The term martial art is loosely defined in this Award and includes but not limited to any Chinese Martial Art (KungFu), Kick Boxing, Karate, Judo, Taekwondo, Boxing, Muay Thai, Kendo, Fencing or other martial art competitions organized by University Sports Federation of Hong Kong (USFHK).
  6. The preferences on selection criteria are below: 
    (1) awards in local and overseas competitions;
    (2) contribution to the University; and
    (3) leadership skill and sportsmanship of the applicant.
  7. Applicants must be taking full-time courses in the University (including Higher Diploma, Associate Degree, Bachelor Degree or above).
  8. Applicants who are University sports team members must be nominated by respective team coaches. Other applicants can obtain the nomination forms at Student Services Centre. The Donors will select one winner of the Award among all applicants.
  9. The payment of the award will be settled by cheque to the University. The award will be presented by the University after the selection.
  10. The winner will be awarded in the Annual Sports Team Gathering on 12 April 2012 (Thursday).
  11. The establishment of this award would be confirmed yearly by the donors with the corresponding department of the University.
